Brake pedal Angle?

    I am almost finished fabbing up my mount to install a intermediate CJ Master cylinder on my frame rail. I need to shorten up my pushrod.
    My question is, what is the angle of your brake pedal arm at rest on your jeep? I do not have the tub on so i do not have a starting point.

    I am looking for a measurement on the upper part of the lower part.

    Not sure if this will help, but I went out to my MB with a magnetic angle finder. I placed it against the underside of the brake arm, from the engine bay side. Looks to be about 54*

    I believe you should pay more attention to how much free play you have in the push rod before it engages the MC piston. Should be about 1/8 to 1/4 inch
    I had to shorten my push rod a lot with Herms kit.

    I solved that problem I built my own mount and moved the MC forward (you can't do this with a Ross steering box) I adjusted it so the pedal stops 1/8th inch from the top of the MC when the MC totally bottoms out. I will adjust the pedal arm at rest once the Tub is on and I can set the proper free play. I really didn't like how angled and cramped the pushrod was using the Kits like the one from Herms geometry.

    But then I completely upgraded the whole clutch/brake pedal shaft setup.

    Many many hours of head scratching and much pondering. My whole 48 Willys is being done like this. Anything I can afford to upgrade while staying in the Jeep family I am doing (that's a 72 CJ5 master cylinder and will be feeding 11" 65-68 Wagoneer Drum brakes) Same with the 70 1/2-71 30 spline flanged Dana 44 with Eaton E locker and G2 5.38 gears I built. Upgrade but still jeep. Granted a lot of DIY along the way.
