Ive got a line on a set of 15x 8.5" slot mag wheels as seen below. I think that I may need to enlarge the hub hole in the middle on my lathe. I do not have the wheels in my possession yet. Has anyone here run these? Are there any other unforeseen issues that I may have?

Would have to a big lathe. Look at the back side between the center hole and the lug holes.
If its solid it should work. If not I'd pass. I have a set of Superior Super Drags that are not solid.

For some reason those look small like 5 on 5 rather than 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. The 5 on 5's where used a lot on 2wd GM trucks, I think from the late 60's to the late 80's which would explain the small center holes. But I'm wrong a lot, just ask my BH.

I have access to a lathe that will swing 20" diameter.
The guy says that he removed them from a 5 on 5.5" ford. but the center hole does look way too small. Maybe a 2 wd? I'll see if he can provide pics of the back side.

Fords used a small center in their wheels in the four wheel drives, due to the internal spline lockouts. I have ford hubs on my CJ6, they are a tiny little hub diameter. I just measured hem, they are around 3 3/8". Really cool wheels.

Slotted are at the top of my list of favorite wheels. Nice score! They look sharp and are of the time period. Wish I had a lathe (and knew how to use it).
My internal spline hubs on my flattie sure seem wide at the base with not much room to spare through the wheel opening. Maybe I don't have Ford hubs after all??

I just took a rough measurement of my hub and they seem to be just at 4" at the base and my aluminum wheel has a 4 1/4" opening. I have seven sets of 5 on 5.5 wheels and I'm now curious if they are all the same openings.

Factory Ford wheels for F150 & Bronco are 5 on 5.5" same as a CJ, but the center hole is smaller as stated above. Usually aftermarket wheels have the larger center hole so they'll fit both applications, but the ones pictured look like the small center to me.

I have a set of Ansen style 15x8.5 I took off of my Jeep I will sell them to you for $100.00, but the shipping from Detroit might be a little pricy. You can fine the wheel centers and lug nuts at Mr. Lugnut, they have anything available for mags, steel wheels, or custom wheels, right or left hand threads.
