What's your other project (non Jeep) . . . show them off here!

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

I've been busy getting some of my (dads) other projects up and running. Some have been sold. (61 Surrey and 63 Scout)
Next up will be this 1961 Scout 80 4wd pickup. We started the body work about 20 years ago, then dad retired and it's been sitting ever since.
It's a early model, fold down windshield, sliding door windows, dual 11 gal fuel tanks, and NO rust to speak of.
No heater and no radio from factory; previous owner hacked in a AM radio which will get yanked.
It sports a 152 4banger with T14(T90) /D18 transfer case, 4.27 axles with rear powerlok.
I grew up in a IH dealer family (along with Jeep) so this will be refreshing and different.
In the end, I may just keep this, it's really too nice to give away.

That is pretty awesome. Thanks for sharing that. It looks like the most that bed ever carried was groceries!

I did a few hours riding in the rear of one of those that a friend had. I also remember on an outing with a full load of friends, the two of us in the rear would have to jump out and help the thing up the hill. I remember he had a '62 and a '63.
He had both the full cab and half cab versions.
He swapped in a Chevy I 6. OD and 11' brakes, ran quite well with the 6 in it over the passes around here.
His son still gives him crap about the Scout, the '61 Caddy and the 67 Camaro that were gone before the kid was even born.
    Enjoy your fathers toy.

I made a press die to make Vestal licence plates. I made about 12 already still need to paint the letters on most of them but they get better with each one I make. Im planning on selling them when I get a good stack done

I had the same Bike! Bought New in the crate for $2200. Back in 80'! Ran 11.3 at 126 miles per hour in the quarter mile by me! Buried the speedometer at 160 on the Astoria, Or. Bridge going over the Columbia River! The place I would always see how fast my new toys would go! Haha.

I have a 1988 fiero gt I bought in socal and had it shipped here to St Louis. MO. I yanked the 2.8 out of it and put a warmed over 3800 supercharged engine and the hd trans in it. It's silly stupid fast. And handles very well with the 1988 suspension. I love it. I left it bone stock appearing. It's broke many heart's.[IMG][IMG]
