My V6 spacer has some sort of emissions outlet on it, that runs to a filter of some sort on the driver side valve cover. The tube is part of the cast that runs all the way to the rubber 90 degree elbow. But I can't find a replacement for this filter part or much documentation on what it is.

I am looking to pick up a used air cleaner from ebay.
It appears if one was to end up with one any larger than this it would not fit.
My guess this is a 15 inch round and the snorkel is about 10 inches?

    Is the opening 2 5/8?
I am leaning on finding one with the hot air valve.

Well I pulled the trigger on this one.
I had another I was about to buy when I saw this today.
Guess I will need to get one of the cheap plastic adapters to go with it.
Because this one is for a four barrel carburetor.

Zoomer's post with the exploded view diagram helped me decide. So far I have only found plastic adapters. Perhaps a four barrel carburetor will also be needed.

Ha here is an adapter I found while looking for an aluminum 2.625 to 5.125.

It might be something members here might need. Available in one, two or three inches just 12 dollars plus five for shipping.

I need an air cleaner for my '68 CJ5 Dauntless V6. What if I don't care about the vintage look and am just looking for a cheapie? Anyone have any experience with a cheap air cleaner off of eBay they can post a link to that fits the stock Dauntless carb (Rochester 2G) without any extra spacers?

Are you limiting to only paper element filters or also oil bath - oem oil baths pop up around here quite often.

Just a paper filter is fine.
