Added some accent paint today. It's gives it less of a "Military" look, nothing wrong with that...I support our troops! :flag:

Love the rattle can...I can always change it.

Looks OK. I think it would look cool all black, especially with the black wheels.

At the rate I'm going it might just become all black. :D

I'm not crazy about the hood. I did add rocker guard (bed liner) paint.

I took the easy route and reinstalled the "shroud" that was there. I welded a screw to my radiator brackets and just bolted them on.

I just noticed you blacked out the headlight rings. That looks good with your paint scheme. What did you use for primer?

    Is that a peep mirror?

The headlight rings were painted when I bought it.

I like the Rust-O-Leum Self Etching Primer...It's nice.

The mirror? Um...It's from a...Um...Yamaha scooter I restored.

Patience pays off. I've been on the look out for some replacement low back seats since I bought my CJ.

My old set, a local upholstery shop wanted $600 to redo them. The driver's seat is on the left. The missing foam gave me more leg room. :p
    [IMG]

My new ones that I discovered on a poorly titled craigslist ad...Paid $35! They're from a mid 70's CJ so a little modification was required. Totally worth it!

I mounted the passenger seat on the stock mounting frame. I used some small angle iron and bolted it to the new seat. Fabbed some metal tabs that are welded to the angle iron and to the stock frame.

I mounted the driver's seat according to this pic in the FSM.

What's funny is the steering wheel is closer to my legs now. The stock seat was missing so much foam it allowed me to sit lower.

Not really a build update but I took the CJ for a drive after installing E3 plugs. I ended up off road (by choice) where I used to ride my dual sport when testing new mods. It's just an wash boarded bumpy as heck service road and mega dust. The tub managed to stay on the frame but my kidneys are still in the back of my throat.
Hats off to the soldiers who had to endure miles of bumpy terrain during the service! :flag:

I've always wanted a "flex" shot. I'm so excited with the articulation and you're probably laughing.

Little log for the Jeep...Big deal to the driver. I almost giggled out loud with joy. I probably would have done a jig if I had actually drove to the top of the log.

I was going to give you some crap about articulation compared to a 240 Volvo or a '64 VW. Just didn't seem right on a Jeep forum.
Nice Jeep, I'm not sure my 3B is a lot better. The picture is in post 39 in the show us your Jeeps page. My cranky old 3B. we've been together for 24 years. I suppose we fit well.

My '64 Beetle had some articulation after I lowered it.

I think you and I better stop mentioning giggling on a Jeep forum. :D

Articulation? Our narrow axles don't need no stinkin' articulation.

Your jeep looks really cool! Great pics!
