Work continues.

Old paint off...New paint soon (maybe today).

 

Wire wheel and Jasco paint remover. I wish I could have it blasted.

If your seal's bad, do it right and remove the glass.

If I had it to do over I would have had it sandblasted. I started with the wire wheel and keep thinking of having it blasted because I was hating life, but I kept at it, then it wasn't worth taking it somewhere. Jasco finished the hard to reach areas. Just typing Jasco make my skin burn...Be careful.

 

I don't know much about them, but I was told this one was from a M38A1.

 

Picked up the glass today.


The main frame was painted semi gloss a couple of weeks ago. I sprayed primer on the glass frame and took it to the glass shop.


The glass frame drying in my paint booth as I type.

 

Total ventilation.

...in with the older.

 

First obstacle. Now I have to get inventive...Without ruining what appears to be an original clamp.

 

I'll try.

If I had a lathe...I'd make an extended version.
