M416 numbers

    Is there a place to find any numbers in order to get a title for a M416 i just bought with out paper work. The tage on the rear panel is missing. Another issue I have, how much does it devalue it if I cut a tail gate in the back panel?

    should be another tag up front on the passenger side frame,
    cutting a gate just depends on condition. i would love to have a gate but mine still holds water.

    There is a tag there but I didn't think it had any numbers on it. Is there anything stamped on the frame or under. It may be too nice to cut but it sure would expand it's uses

    You may be able to title it as a home built trailer. Different states have different requirements for titling. Some states do not even title trailers.

    I was just at the DMV yesterday for my renewals and asked about a home made trailer title and she caught on and siad you can tell if it is home made or not. I may be able to talk to someone else next time I go there but she was not help ful at all. If I could find a number some where I may be able to get a bonded title
