fuel, spark and compression - will not start

Noticed coming home last weekend that the Jeep was missing a little. Got home. Put het in the garage, and this weekend she will not start.

It has fuel, spark and compression and wants to start. It will catch for a split second, spit a little puff of white smoke out the carb and stop. Just did a tune up about 6 weeks ago and she was running like new (new points, plugs, condenser, coil, rotor, distributor cap and even a new rebuilt carb from the carb exchange). I'm at a loss. Any suggestions out there?

Ballast resistor? (If it fires while cranking, but quits when you let the key back to the 'run' position. )

"Just did a tune up about 6 weeks ago" Point gap slipped? Timing?

Also could be water in the fuel and or moisture in the dist cap.

Much chagrined - I assumed because when I parked her she had spark - that she still did. Not true - as I discovered going back through the system. It was a bad condenser. Up and running now, but this is the third condenser in as many months. Something is going on. I'm just not sure what.

    Check the coil polarity.

Also, some distributors have a flexible ground wire from the points plate to the housing, check for that.
