buddy of mine just picked this 95 wrangler up . its PO broke the rear drive shaft . so it has not run in two years . good condition , 6cylinder . 5 speed . P/S and A/C Hard Top and Doors . he started cleaning it up . drained the gas . and went to start it . only would crank . called me over to look at it . I found that it had no pressure at fuel rail . didn't hear pump working . don't know it you would . jumped relay and checked the wires going to pump , have a orange - brown - black . out of these wires . what color would the pump and ground wire be .the other would be sending unit I guess . I am thinking no ground

if I remember correctly there is a trick you have to do to get fuel into the fuel rails on the fuel injection ones. I will ask my father about it; he runs a 95 yj with fuel injection.

You should be able to hear the pump run by taking off gas cap and putting your ear by the hole. Does it have two pumps , a low pressure and a high pressure ? You may need to jump the pump , not at the relay but at the obd 1 plug located by the battery.

The YJ pumps comes on instantly when the key is turned it then shuts off, this "primes the rail to 45 psi, the fuel pump then shuts off until the engine fires, once the engine fires, the fuel pump comes back on. You domn't need to, nor can you really fill/or prime the fuel rail at the injectors.

the pump is probably shot, but you can get replacement pumps a lot cheaper now than years ago when YJ's were new.
