I already have the (cheep)? replacement electric wipers that sell for around $65 on my CJ3 but look like they couldn't handle more than the morning dew. Has any body tried the marine wipers I see online for around $130-$160, in the pictures they look more heavy duty. any other suggestions. thanks Phil

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

I used these top mounted two speed 12 volt motors.
These are Jeep but made by Bosch.
They work independently of each other so sometimes they meet in the middle during use, which hasn't caused any issues.
These may be circa 1968/1969 Jeep top mounted wiper motors, I don't recall.
Anyways, if you can find them, simple bolt on, wire up a two speed switch and go.
The arm shaft is the correct length, no cutting required.
Sometimes you find them on ebay under Bosch or Jeep wiper motor.

Those look exactly like the single speed factory top mounted wiper motors on my '67 ( I know, because my Jeep and Jim's Jeep were side by side at one point) . In fact, I tried to steal them since they're two-speed..

American Bosh also made wipers that look like those dinky replacements. Perhaps those could be an option? I have a Bosch top mounted wiper motor, that looks like this:

But this one doesn't work. If you search the forum, I believe there are threads on the heavy duty marine wipers.

Herm the overdrive guy normally has some of those 2 speed boschs.
You could try giving him a call to source some

But I have heard that the marine ones are pretty good as well.

I had these on a previous jeep. lots of power, they'll move snow off of the windshield.
