I think I may like to get trailer for my 57 CJ5. Something to haul things with around town or to the local dump. Is there a web page that describes the different trailers? Also, where would one go to get one? Ebay?

    Thanks,
    Paul

What are you looking for? Just a trailer, or a specific brand/ type?

Yes. Something like that one you have in the picture. I do not know about much the different brands, pros and cons of each, or more durable versus less durable ones. An open one like that is all I need.

  6. I saw one on jeepforum.com in Hickory, It was in very good shape in the pics, however a little pricey.

yes..a little pricey.. Thanks for the info though. Still thinking about it.. 1200 is a lot.. although it is nice.. Offroad only..I would have to trailer it home. Is it easy to get trailers tagged (such as this one)?

I bought a M416 trailer recently. Check ebay and craigslist and forums like this one and G503.com. Some keywords to use are Bantam, M416, M100, MBT, Ben Hur, and I'm sure there are others.

Pricing is varied, depending on whether the owner knows what they have and the condition. I paid $660 for mine, in decent condition, but will still need some minor work.

Mine on the day I picked it up:

  9. In NC it is fairly easy to get titled and tagged. If you don't get a title you can apply for a homemade trailer title. The tag office should be able to help.

Just keep your eyes peeled.:) I found mine in a back yard here in town, and as of now I have about $500 in it, including title fee and permanent registration.
