Tech Info on CJ's Speedometer???

    Did we ever get an article or something together about the differant year speedometers that came in the CJ's??

    It's on my 66. I'm the 2nd owner, and the fire dept here bought it new, if it's not original than a lot of people were wrong.:? What are the differences and makes this a 79 speedo? Inquiring minds want to know.......

    No, I meant it wasn't used all the way up to '79. Only to '71, I think.

    So sorry, my bad. Omix-ada shows their speedo cluster fits from 55 to 79. Jeep used the heck outa this setup for alot of years it would seem...

    Their cluster will fit all those, but it's not the older single digit unit.

    From what I've seen so far is, that this type (0-9) was used from 58 thru 69.
