As Lynn told me, at least it's a "period swap" and not some bastard swap like some new fangled fuel injected monstrosity.

 

Believe me, if I had a :v6:, that would go in my 64 CJ5, just to get rid of that gas hog of a 351 Windsor.

 

The very reason for doing it. It's certianly not for the horsepower.

flathead 4 cylinder = 60hp
flathead V8 engine = 90hp

Not a chance. I'm a small engine mechanic by trade, so it's like having 8 Briggs engines all put together in one package. I foresee no major problems with this engine, once it's in and running
