Has anyone found a supplier for that 4 1/2 inch tube that brings fresh air from the grill through the heater core. This is for my 68. :v6:

I think I got mine from JC Whitney. Can't remember for sure.

  4. JC Whitney does carry it. Best price around as well ~$14 IIRC. If you can't find the partnumber, let me know and I'll check my catalog tonight.

I took a look and I could not find the part #. If you could look it up that would be great. Thanks for all your help.

    check at FLAPS.

  7. Got mine from JCW also. None of the local FLAPS had, or said they could get, 4.5". :? You get more than enough to do it twice.

Don't cut it if it seems too long. Leave it compressed, much more resistant to tear and punctures that way.

  9. IIRC What you get from Whitney is almost but not quite enough to do 2 jeeps. Probably too much extra to leave uncut. You have to be careful when cutting as well since it wants to keep unraveling.

  10. Also go to www.aircraftspruce.com . They have 2 FREE cataloges for planes and high perf. stuff. They sell aircraft ducting there that should outlast our grandchildren, for a price that is.

Their aircraft cataloge is a kick. Dan can even get REAL aircraft DOPE in there. R)

Wha? You mean you don't want the heater box to suck in exhaust fumes from the engine bay?!?
