my tranny and t-case mounts are both shot... i get a lot of lateral flex on them to the point that you can see my shifters move a LOT from side to side.
I'm thinking of fabbing up some solid mounts for both out of them. i know the replacement mounts are dirt cheap but i would like something with no or less flex. Anyone see any issues with this? will it transfer too much stress to the frame?

You need flex in the mounts or you will break something

Polyurethane mounts are much firmerthan rubber but still give when needed.

OTOH if your current mounts are really shot, you might be surprised at just how firm new rubber mounts will hold your driveline. I installed a new rubber mount under the T18 that was in my CJ and was impressed with the difference.
I don't think solid mounds are a good idea.

Look at their universal products. I searched for universal urethane transmission mount.
