I was going through Herms catalog and saw a remote reservoir to be adapted to the original master cylinder cap. Sounds like a good idea. I was on the Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies website, earlier today and ran accross this kit: http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productselection.asp?Product=3515
The master cylinder from this one looks like it would go into the under floor location easier and with better fit up than the original master cylinder was. Comes with all the hardware do do either a top of the cylinder reservoir or a remote reservoir (thus eliminating having to remove the cover in the floor and snaking a long funnel in there to fill the cylinder)

Has any one tried this particular product on a ECJ5 or 6, M38A1 or FC, pickup or wagon?
If so how hard was it to install? :?

I had a similar remove reservoir on my Wagon with the stock master cylinder, but it was more of a home brew deal. It tended to leak some. In my opinion, you'd be much better off putting your money towards a dual master cylinder upgrade for your jeep (also from Herm). It's much safer.

Pegasus also has the dual, although you have to get the remote mount and plumbing separately with that one.R):coffee:

I was talking bout this setup last weekend. You will have to measure the distance between the mounting holes and see if it works, doesnt sound like it would be that had. How much is the dual resovior one?

    in my m38a1,
i used the military tap with the underwater vent.like herm says.plug a 8mm rubber fuel hose and use a zetor brake fluid reservoir in the firewall.
no problems at all and forget the difficult filling and watching for fluids.
