You might be able to bargain for a better price, but $700 seems reasonable based on what I can see in the photographs. Unless there is body rot and frame damage that isn't visible, the trailer you are looking at appears complete with minimal body work required. As for the wiring, lights and wear parts such as the bearings, seals, parking brake linings, shocks, tires, etc., those parts are all available at reasonable cost. Keep in mind that these trailers aren't manufactured any more and prices are not likely to come down. Also, a "$300 trailer" may take you months to find, you will lose time you could have spent fixing up and using your trailer, and you will likely spend at least as much as you "save" repairing a cheaper trailer. Just go for it.

If I were you, I would keep the lunette ring and mount a pintle hook to your jeep. A Fulton type hitch and ball may be more convenient, but won't work nearly as well offroad.

I made a receiver for my Jeep that can slide into any receiver tube. Combination pintle/ball and it's adjustable.
