Has anyone purchasaed replacement mirrors for there cj from 4wd hardware or Krage motorsports.
I'm looking at these mirrors from Krage motorsports and wonder if they are of good quality. One set is SS the other are the black ones. Would rather have black but SS don't rust.

I'm looking mainly for quality not just price.

I bought a set of the black mirrors 3 years ago from Krage. They seem fine. The only issue I see that can happen is the black rubber molding can come loose. Mine are still there, makes it easy to clean the mirror, but only time will tell.

Anyway, other than that, that mirror fit my needs and only time will tell for the rest.

BTW, I only have one threaded hinge, so the other mirror will come in handy later if needed.

I'd also be careful on what some refer to as 'stainless'. As you know chromed stuff will rust, often worse than painted.

If it's not a truly good grade stainless, then I'd go with the black.

Go with black...if they do rust it's a quick fix.

Not sure where SSDutch's came from - they are that style of mirror though. I probably wouldn't have put them on, but I sure like them.

I put the stainless ones on my jeep about 4 years ago. I have had to glue the rubber molding on twice since then, but that's been it. No issues and no rust. My only complaint is the plastic washers that you use to tighten the arm, and the fancy metric head bolts with standard thread (recycled'em for 1/4" stainless bolts)

i've had the black ones for 8+ years and they have held up fine in the florida sun and rain. the mounting hardware was junk,i changed to stainless and bought the aluminum bushing kit. they rusted a bit around the edges, but a bit of por 15 fixed that.

I purchased the black one from 4wd prior to finding Krage's. I have had them for about 3 years with no problems.
