Not mean’n to highjack, but I’d be interested in how you did the disk brake on the transfer case, when you have time to post it that is.

If you start your post out with "I don't mean to hijack" expect it to get moved and start a new thread. ;)

When you move it I still want to read it as my drum brake on my D18 is not even connected. It is totally worthless and I have a line lock. But I'm moving to a state that requires an operating e-brake.

Here is a pic of the disc parking brake. IIRC I got the idea from this board, someone was working on one.

I used parts from All Pro Off Road, originally for a Toyota application. They sell online:
    http://www.allprooffroad.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=33

    Caliper $89.00 P/N 5206-AP-10024
    Rotor $29.00 P/N 5204-AP-ALL034 (I paid $59)

I had to machine the rotor center out a little to fit the rear output from the drum brake. I think I had to drill a couple of holes to get it to lne up too. (memory fading) Also had to make a bracket to hold the caliper. I tried using the original "T" hand pull handle but I couldn't get enough force to hold the vehicle. I ended up using a 74' Blazer foot pedal.

It works great, I'll try to get a better picture if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the link, that by itself helps a lot.
Is the caliper mounted to the cross member? It’s hard to tell.

Since I did it during the 465 conversion I made a bracket specifically for the parking brake bracket. I'll try to get a better pic.
