    Hey All,

I brought my new jeep home over the weekend. It was manufactured in 71, titled as a 72. The PO changed the windshield but I have no clue what it came from. Its a square edged rectangle w/ wipers on the top of the windshield. It bolts along the bottom of the windshield to the cowl and looks like it hinges there also. Its in good shape w/ no cracks, but ugly on that year of Jeep. I'm guessing a cj3b windshield or something older??? I'll try to add pics of it. Can I put a later 70's windshield on my Jeep and use a later 70's top or do I have to stay with an early 70's windshield and top? Thanks,
    Mike

That is probably a CJ5 windshield dating at or before 1967 (right guys?). AFAIK, you can easily switch to a windshield dating all the way to 1975.

I attached a picture, It isn't like anything in the tech section on Cj5's. Its hard to describe, it does not bolt to the cj5 hinges.

Homebrew, maybe a hacked flat-fender windshield. If it were mine I'd look for a complete, stock windshield and put this one on the junk pile.
