i have never used these, and i am eventually gonna put 11" brakes on this, but my current bleeders are frozen right now so i was wondering if i get the bleeders now for the stock brakes, can i reuse them on the 11"ers when i get the? i just dont want to buy them twice

That will depend on what your future 11" backing plates came off of, and the wheel cylinders for those backing plates. For example, the 11" backing plates I have came off a 1978 DJ5 postal Jeep, and I don't know if they'll use the same SB1428 bleeders. I've heard of guys using 11" brakes from various vehicles.

Yup, you may buy them twice :( Look ahead to see if the 11's you'll use will accomodate ;)

How far down the road will it be before the upgrade?
Speed bleeders are nice, though not a must have deal. ;)

I bought mine from a local guy that's a mail carrier, and he has some old postal Jeeps that he's been parting out. I've already bought both sets of plates that he had, a set for me and set for kiowamtp. Paid $40 for each set.

You might try placing WTB ads on craigslist.com, look on Epay, or try here... http://www.postaljeep.net/ Any other kinds of salvage yards around there, besides the P&P's?

I'm sure there's other vehicles that you can use the plates from, but I don't know what they are.

Just call these guys and tell them you need the backing plates for a 1972 postal jeep, don't tell them they are going on cj5, just tell them your postal jeep is an early 70's model with a dana 44 in it. They have stacks of them literally.

Just as a heads up, your rear bleeders are busted off, I know I spend a few hours under that thing.. R)
