you mean you hammered that into a round hole to make it square!? Thats cool. Just a tip for ya, If you start with a small drill bit it will not only not walk around on you like that, it will drill alot easier and faster and not wear out your bits so fast. :)

Thanks ,I knew that was going to be bought up I was even temped to hit it with some paint to hide it R) My cordless batt was about dead so I just ran a quicky. Its 1/8th chrome moly I think, its a scrap from the race car shop. When I do it for real Im going to drive the holes from the back side of the piece to prevent it from pushing away from the sheetmetal when its bolted down. It does leave some scrap metal hanging out around to hole so it needs to be clened with a file or brushed over with a grinder.

I made it to do my skids and body armour with carriage head bolts for a smoother look and hopfully less hang ups.

Jason try to put more grooves in it, it will make pushing it thru much easier. Try about 6 grooves and make sure the taper runs up the shaft and covers the 1st 3 grooves. You should then be able to tap the broach thru with minimal effort.

    Good Job!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Mike , I was wondering about the groves that will help. Ill cut more tommrow so hopfully Ill be ready to do some fab work over the weekend.I have some unique plans for my rocker guards thats going to contain a mounting system that Im going to incorparate into my whole jeep later. If it works right it will make my CJ more versitile ,,,,,, or it will just have more junk R).

Mike should I try to give the groves more of a cuting edge or a flowing one?

I believe that is a tool I see myself making someday. Cool, I've only used a square file.
