Sorry guys, I'm not too familiar with ECJ5's and flat fenders, so hopefully this is the right place to ask. For those who don't know, I go to Wyotech(about an hour east of Pittsburgh), which happens to be a car school. I was driving around the back yesterday and happened to spot arusted flathead 4 cyl. It looked familiar, so I got out to look at it, and lo and behold it said Jeep and Willys on the top of it. Is this the F-134 or what? I'm going to ask about it in class today and see if I can finangle it into my posession(apparently it's been sitting there for quite a while). If they will let me have it, does anybody on here want it? If not, I'll just let them keep it since I don't have a use for it.

The flathead is the L-134 (L-head or flathead); the F-134 is the F-head (the F does not stand for flat), with OHV intakes and exhaust in the block.

    it's an L-head if it's a flathead.

It is an L-134 and I am badly in need of one for an M38 I am workin on. Do you ever get down around Tennessee?

Of course it is. ;)

I asked about them today and supposedly they're students' engines that have just been sitting there because they're adding onto the chassis fab building. I don't know. As long as they've been there, I don't see how anyone who might own them cares about them(not to mention most of them seem to be pretty worthless), but I'm going to ask around some more and see. I did notice someone was working on an old Jeep(maybe an M38 or CJ2 or something), so it could belong to that one, but like I said, I'll ask around. If I can find out for sure that no one wants it, I may have to borrow a cherry picker one night. ;)

If you can get your hands on it, and decide to get rid of it, let me know. I have the M38 we are working on now and also just came across two more flatties, one with an engine and one without that we are in the process of buying right now, so I actually need a couple of L-134's.
