Up a creek without a tub

I am having no luck finding a fiberglass body kit for my 1962, everyone is closing up shop, any suggestions I wanna keep jeeping and can't afford a steel kit plus I here the steel kits are shody. No AJs, Quadratec and 4 Wheel Drive Hardware are looking for new suppliers and have nothing in stock....I need help!

 

My buddy Tom just went to Atlanta and bought one for his JEEP and brought back a couple of others for other people as well. He posted on here before he went. Got a great deal too, $700 I think. Shoot him a PM. His id is cjtom. He'll tell you where he got it from

 

I talked to him. We'll put the info up after lunch. It's a shame you guys missed that post. Heck of a deal and he was bringing it from GA to Ohio...

 

i will go home at lunch and get info. they were in meansville ga. this guy bought 90 of them in an ebay highest bid. i went down there and bought 3 front clips and 3 bodies. they are in really good condition, some shipping scatches but no breaks. will find info and get them to you thanks tom

 

I know sparky KS isn't that close, but we could have started a delivery chain of some sort. He posted in OT. The guy had 70 of these tubs and Tom brought 3 of them back. He has glass noses too for $250. Nice stuff.

 

Hmmm I may be up for one myself.

Nice thing about this deal is; even if you have to spend the money to ship it LTL, you are still getting a great deal

How many fiberglass tubs do we have here?

Several people said they wanted one.

I'm not sure what the count is for tubs at this point.

I think I can get front clips -- one piece fenders/hood/grille (72 and newer)

I also think I can get cj5 fiberglass tubs 55 - 75 -- not sure of price on either.

If there is enought interest to make it worth a trip with my trailer I could get pricing on them.

My trailer ought to hold six or so and I could put one in the back of the Dodge.

There are one, maybe two cj-7 tubs available too.

The tubs look to be constructed well; don't know manufacturer, but it isn't 4wd hardware because there are no bolts "glassed in".

These tubs are in trailers and sitting outside - for around 4 months now.

If it looks like I can get a full load -- I'll get some pricing. If it still looks like a go program I'll haul them down here (near cincinnati).

I would be interested in a tub for that price. I could make a trip to Cincinnati to pick up and bring back to MI. Mine is a 1959 cj5.

 

Thats What I Did Last Time Now There Were Some Down There That Had Been Painted And Some That Were Mounted And Pulled Back Off I Brought 3 Set Back And Also Can Set Up With Don To Make A Trip Down And Back Up To Ohio With My Trl And Trk. I Spent 3 Hours Walking And Looking At Every Tub For The Best 3 When I Went. He Also Had Double Lined Tubs Which I Brought One Of Those And 2 Straight Floor I Will Get Photos Tonight
