I have two points of attachment for what I assume is for a piece of tire between the cowl and the front frame that are damaged. I don’t see these in the parts book. Does anyone have a great way to address this? Thanks.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen that piece on the floor support . The ones I’ve seen usually have a piece of rubber . That’s called the toe board support.

I think a piece of rubber was attached to the bottom at one point. I’m guessing that was held in place with the staples. I have the same thing going on in the front of the bed.

I fab’d a new pair out of 14ga. Previous was 16ga. I’m going to work on how I affix a rubber jumper to the surface after I paint the tub.

You are correct. A 1/4" or so thick piece of rubber goes under those. Here's a collapsed on on my '71:

Here's the rear ones sitting on the crossframe:

My '61 body did not have the plates like yours. I was going to put body mounts on the front kick panel braces
until I found the body was not square on the frame. Didn't want to re-drill the holes for the 3/8" needed. Ended
    up bolting these on.

For the rear cross-member I used RTV to glue a strip of something similar to this.

They seemed to have the correct amount of hardness, the right height I was looking for, and a centered recessed hole.
It was a shot in the dark... not much to lose if it goes wrong.
