Do any of you old timers that had a Whitco or Kayline soft top remember if this Kayline soft top bow storage cover would be the same or close to the same as the Whitco?

I have an NOS Whitco top but it does not have the bow cover for storage when you take the top down on the road.

If you take that top down on the road, I am going to personally come down there and have a word with you.

My dad had a mid 70's vintage Whitco one for his flatfender that looked very similar to that. It's probably still around his place somewhere.

That’s called a top “boot”. I still have the original red boot from my ‘64 Tux. I’m guessing the original top and boot were Whitco back then, and used snaps all the way around instead of straps/footman loops like a neighbors ‘63 CJ5 came with.
The boot is a sleeve than goes over the folded top as it lays on the tailgate ledge to keep it finished looking and keep the folded top from catching the wind driving down the highway.
The boot in your photo looks similar to mine. I’ll see if I can find any pictures of mine.
