What is the history of of your Jeep?

For instance, could these have been for Fire Dept lights, or some such?

I do not know the history of my Jeep. Is it possible to get somewhere the information to whom it was sold. I bought it from a car dealer here in germany some years ago. He told me the car comes from Belgium, but I am not sure. I have also some installations in the dashboard that I do not know for what they where used.

I agree with Pete, these look like holes to mount a siren or lights. The only thing I can identify on the dash is a clip to hold a microphone. Picture quality is too poor to say more.

You can purchase a car history in the USA. CarFax is the best known company. You will have to investigate what's available in the EU. Vehicle History Reports – Get a CARFAX Report

    Looks like an hour-meter too.

Suggestive of municipal or governmental use. Fire vehicles frequently spend many hours running but stationary, for instance.

If I were a betting man, I would lay odds that the Jeep was equipped as a Fire Department vehicle as mentioned prevoiusly. The red color is typicat too.

Thanks for the many answeres. I think the car was original yellow, but maybe it was transformed to a Fire vehicle and become red. In germany I can not check with the VIN Number and my computer is settled in Germany. Is it worth to send someone the identification plate by PM to check it in the US. I do not like to set the picture and the number here.

If the Jeep was delivered in the EU, it seems unlikely that a vehicle history search in the USA will be helpful. There should be similar vehicle history services like CarFax in Germany. If you read this forum, you should be able to search online for one of these businesses.

    CARFAX:
    Good to know:
The vehicle identification number is particularly protected by data protection law in Germany, therefore CARFAX cannot offer information on German vehicles.

Seams to be a dead-end or is there somewhere a AMC archive, maybe not. Thanks a lot.
