Anyone Done A Distributor Gear Oiling Mod On Amc V8?

I have a 304 in my 73 cj5 to cj6 stretch. I've seen some oiling line mods done to specifically oil the distributor gearing on the amc forums

Im thinking I would like to do something like this before I button My 304 back up.

I don't think threre is a issue with either of the gears on the cam or the dizzy right now but I did have to change out the distributor several years ago on the trail with a rebuilt unit to get home and it maybe only has 100 miles on it at most. I recently had to change out my double roller timing chain that has since wore out to a oe spec unit.

Probably overthinking it, but if I could direct some oil to those gears Im thinking it may alleviate any fears of the 2 eating themselves alive like I have seen lately on non stock components.

Has anyone t'eed off the the oil sending unit to divert oil to these gears out there?

    TIA
