After cleaning and sealing my 1961 cj5 gas tank. Which is the correct threaded hole on the bottom to hook up gas line? One is level with floor of tank and the other is in a depressed area several inches away. Is there usually a cut off valve underneath tank?

I found this on the Kaiser Willys website. Maybe this will answer your question.

"The tank bottom has two outlets. One is in a little sump area and the other is flush with the tank bottom. Which one goes to the carburetor?
The large hole is a drain and the smaller hole for your 1/4" fuel line is to the fuel pump."

No cutoff. But I added a valve to my drain for convenience.

I did the same thing, Pete. I can get gas from the Jeep if I need to.
