You could use thick gears and put whatever ratio you want in it: Dana 44 Thick 4.10-5.38 Ratio Dual Drilled 3/8 and 7/16 Inch Fits 3.73 and Down Carrier | Revolution Gear & Axle

I would assume a type 4 case would be coming since Roxors have moved to 5.38s, but maybe they're using thick gears too.

 

Has anyone tried to put a Roxor differential in a traditional Dana 44 housing? I was looking at the stuff at Brennan's Garage and he sells a spacer to use standard D44 gears in the Roxor axle as the Roxor carrier is between a 3 and a 4. If so, I don't think this locker would fit properly in our housings without some adaptation.

I imagine you’ll be able to with some machine work or clever combo of shims/races. There are likely a ton of cheap carrier and 3.73 R&Ps available from Roxors.

 

I have a Roxor 44 front diff for my project. I had a ARB 19 spline 44 installed with out issue. The housing is the same the use a funny gear set. All you have todo is throw away all of their new stuff and put the locker a gears of your choice in.

 

I didn't realize the Roxors have a strange spacing between a type 3 and 4. Annoying. There will for sure be some combination that works with 5.38s since that's what they are selling now.

Of course, swapping all the guts for regular 44 stuff is always an option. If you're swapping everything out, you can also get 30 spline axles shafts and be stronger all around: 30 Spline Front Chromoly Axle Shafts - On The Rox

I am surprised the axle kit doesn't at least come with 27 spline outers to use Dana 30 hubs. They look like 10 spline.

 

Correct, I used 10 spline Warns on mine. These were actually way cheaper than the 27s on my CJ5 (NTD30).
