    Yesterday while loading up a friends 16" shell for my employers Veterans day celebration in a few weeks, I broke my winch control cable plug as you did, I guess I side loaded the pot metal plug on the SuperwinchX3 winch that is mounted on my utility trailer. So I am going to install the remote controller setup from TSC on my winch so I can stand at the back of my trailer or be in my jeep while winching. I'll post pics of the install later this week. I called my FLAPS about the replacement Hopkins setup and they want $15 for that so I'll be halfway to the price of the TSC controller anyway

    I installed a remote control on my super winch that my wife has on her boat trailer. It’s worked flawlessly for over two years. In fact I’ve never plugged in the actual remote ever.

    I found a replacement plug for my winch control for $5 on slamazon, so I went that way...back and winching now
