Bought a Eastwood Scroll Compressor, was questioning the cost, but pulled the trigger and bought one. Hooked it up a couple weeks ago, just ran it long enough to fill the tank. Did some work in the garage today and used the compressor. This thing is quite, while the compressor was running I could still hear the radio playing in my small garage. A few time while I was running a saw, I did not hear the compressor start up and run. Glad I bought it.

I installed a big Scroll Compressor for a machine shop. It made a lot of air, but was a little nosy...

It did draw a lot of electricity...

    Pretty cool.

Since it's "portable" I'd worry about theft. Maybe a bicycle lock to a loop set into the floor? Unlikely my conventional compressor will be stolen...

I have a air supply line from the compressor attached to the wall to the regulator. It weights 300-400 pounds would take a lot to lift up.
