White Or Black Wheels?

Not sure what i want to do yet so I figured i would turn to the people. White or blacks wheels on my Jeep? I am not super crazy about how the black looks.

 

I like the white on the old jeeps

 

Looks fine to me this way. Very ... purposeful.

 

There are special "paints" that can be peeled off if desired. One brand is "Dip my Car" or something like that. Most auto parts stores will carry this temporary paint. Try some in white, or whatever color catches your eye.

On a restored machine I prefer white, I guess. On a "working Jeep" either looks fine.

I shot mine with rattle can CARC flat sand, Just looks better with my OD

Are you planning to paint the Jeep? The way it is now, I think white or black would work fine. Certainly body colors would have me lean one way or another with wheel color.

 

Gonna keep it like it is for now

 

I've gotta go with black...the white looks better than I thought...but I'm Biased

Actually the more I look at it...I like the white a lot as well !!!

The white spoke wheels somehow suggest white patent leather loafers and pastel leisure suits ... just to me though.

 

Back in the mid-'70s, white wagon wheels were what everyone was installing on their Jeeps. To be period correct (if that matters!) white is the correct color.

Although I will say each Jeep has its own personality. So it’s a case by case determination....

 

I think that I am going to try the white on my spare and see how I like it.
