What are the correct wheels for a 1956 CJ5? I believe I have military wheels, 16 inch on mine.

A '56 could have come with 15" or 16" wheels originally. The wheels in your photo look like non-creased wheels from an earlier model, possibly military. We need a closer photo to see the details.

That 1/8" hole is sometimes thought to indicate military, but that may not be 100%.

Trucks and military had heavy-duty 16" rims. Nothing wrong with using those on a '56.

Those wheels are likely a few years older than your '56, but like PeteL says above, nothing wrong with using those. I believe that small hole denotes a heavy duty rim. They definately weigh a few pounds more than a similar non-drilled rim.

Are there any aftermarket vendors for wheels like mine? I need a spare for the side.

Personally I would like to trade mine for a set of rims that take hub caps :)

I'm sure you'd find folks wanting those wheels. And remember you'd have to find hubcap to go over the front locking hubs. Not necessarily an easy task.
