It's an 82 CJ7. Might have been a Laredo. Hood and fenders were replaced late in its operational life after a deer strike so no decals on the hood. Been sitting for 20 yr at least. 20 years. No idea what I'm going to do with it yet. Probably relocate it and let it marinate for another few years.

Looks like a pile of bear scat on the console!

Kinda cool though. Drag it out, see what you have to work with and decide where to go from there :watch:

You should see the load on the passenger seat!

Tub is way gone. Soft top has somehow held up except missing back window so most dash and controls were somewhat spared. It's at least a pile of some parts:

    258, MIGHT run
T5 (a poor tranny when new)
Bell housing that is good for conversions
    D300
    Axles probably serviceable
    Driveshafts
Frame surprisingly doesn't seem rotted to ruin
    Windshield glass
    Wiper components
    Power steering parts
Pretty Laredo wheel hubs and rings (wheels probably rotted where they've been underground)
    Swing out Tire carrier
    Stainless front bumper
    Grill with stainless overlay
TWO EXCELLENT FENDERS (all I really was after)
    Seat brackets
    Factory console

Something has been dinining on that upper radiator hose! Hopefully they didn't like the taste of the wiring. Maybe the antifreeze took care of those visitors.

Got one fender off. Calling it a day. Harder than it should have been, but isnt that always the case.

Dug three contractor trash bags of rotten carpet, coon poop, wet paper and rotten leaves out of it. Can see what is left of metal floor. Pretty bad, but salvageable with lots of panels from Classic Enterprises. Should I decide to be "the first guy"

Someday I want to be the second guy who buys it after the first guy loses his butt on a project.

That looks like a fun project. The t 5 is better than the 4 speed ImhO for the over drive. The shifter forks wear easy I know that.

Is it yours? Is it on your land or is this something you ran across while on a hike? Seems so mysterious. :susp:

My uncle bought it new. I tried to buy the fenders but he gave me the entire Jeep! Hood was changed due to an accident so no decals. Today he told me it was called a "Starburst" decal package or some such thing. Shared a lot of what seem like Laredo features based on pictures I've seen. Chrome wheels with chrome centers, chrome grill overlay, chrome rocker trim.
