The return spring for the accelerator pedal broke. I think it is the original spring because it hooks onto the oil galley port then goes up to the linkage. I found the replacements aren't as big and look weaker. What are some other options than buying one from Kaiser willys. The part number for the spring in the parts book is 803358.

Take it to a hardware store, most have a spring asst display, match up to a similar spring.

X2. Or your FLAPS ought to have generic springs.

I have two springs in place to assure that my F134 idle returns to its idling rpm when at stop lights. This arrangement does not make the accelerator pedal too stiff to depress.

If u want a really smooth and easy pedal, get rid of all that steel rod linkage,
And do a cable pull conversion.
The spring on my yf carb will pull mine back alone.
