Hi, My jeep has sat for 5 years now so as a tradition I poured Marvelous Mystery Oil into each cylinder through the spark plug hole. 3 months ago I added a quart or two and last week I poured two quarts into the jugs over time. I went to drain the cooling system and to my amazement it was all red MMO and Water mix. Is there an explanation for this other then a blown head gasket, cracked hear or block? I have the exhaust manifold off as I was going to do a valve adjustment and get her singing like a song again.

if the engine will turn over with starter
a compression test would be where I would start

oil and water don't mix . so that's not a good sign

Not that I can think of.

I would have used a few spoonfuls, rather than quarts... I would expect to see the MMO in your crankcase, not the cooling system

Ran a compression test no. 2 and 4 were both low at 60 psi. Adjusted the valves with no improvement. While I had the manifold off I notice exhaust valve no.4 has a guide broken almost clean in half vertically, wonder how long it's been like that. Next step pull the head, hopefully no cracks I'm not against rebuilding a f- head.
