i started building the 3B with no real plan, as its evolved it has taken on a old service station theme as I’ve added the OBA, welder etc. Which is appropriate since i have working for a petroleum company for 36 years. I thought it would be cool to pay a little tribute to the company that allowed me to have my toys. Right now i want to keep the faded primer look, and have the wording painted or airbrushed on. I think it would look cool if it was all done with a kind of distressed old school look. Thoughts? Would you add anything else, remove anything?

I think an old gas station logo would look cool.

That's great and all, but does it have a roll of electrical tape on board ????? No really, its a cool idea, but I think something with the patina look to it like what muzikp posted. We will have to start a search for old logo's. I always like the Shell logo or the mobilgas one.

AB276770-ED1E-45DF-B92A-27B2177A9449.jpeg yes it needs a logo somewhere. We were a BP dealer for a long time, so that would be cool
All the lettering will have patina.

Cool idea! And, great looking B!

I vote for hand painted lettering. Find an old school sign painter. Ask around local commercial sign shops, especially the older establishments. They'll know someone.

We have an old guy at church that was a sign painter. Rock steady hands. I bet you could have him paint a thick line on the wall, then peel it off and use it to check cylinder heads for warpage.

"Friction Tape" to be authentic, I'd say.

The vise and welder could really be handy on the road side or trail. Good looking Jeep.

Can we see more of what I assume is a later model cj7 renegade with classic graphic package? I still have a soft-spot for wide-track cj7s
