M38 Bow Set ????

Trying to figure out if this is a bow set from a M38. I bought it with a bunch of M38a1 parts. What do you guys think ? Thanks

 

Yours looks more like MB / GPW type.

Both the M38 or M38-A1 would normally have a flat bladed lower end to fit in the receiver on the tub.

 

Pete, I thought that only the m38a1 had the flat section. That's why I thought it was a M38, so it would fit into the round pockets like on an early 5. If its GPW or MB, even better.

 

Just went over to ebay. That certainly looks the same as what I have. If that's wht they are getting for repop stuff, I should be able to sell it. I needed a set for the A1. Thanks for the info.

 

They are around, but not cheap. KaiserWillys and others have them.

When I bought a set many years ago they were cut in half for shipping, had to weld them together again.
