If I'm not keeping the cab heater (Florida) can I plug the heater hose ports on the engine or do I need to connect them for flow?

Personal opinion is running a hose between the 2 ports is better for preventing any stagnant area buildup of crud.

Mine are plugged. But, then, there was never a heater mounted in mine. Arizona JEEP.

Some jeeps had a shut-off valve, which would be the same result as plugging.

Personally, I'd just connect the two ports with a hose, keep things circulating.

I didn't think about circulation when I put a petcock in mine, but the petcock helps bleed the air out of the head when filling the water jacket. Now you got me thinking about circulation, oh well it is just on a run in stand anyway.
