Beautiful work bringing a Tux back to very close to showroom condition. This looked like a nice solid original to start with, but it certainly looks great now. I applaud you for keeping things as original as practical. Did you have to re-chrome the bumpers?

cool thanks. I think they fit the jeep very well.

Yes if you get a chance on the shift lever that would be great. Also was the tunnel cover cut, how does it come from the floor boards. The reason I ask is that when I installed an OD on my '47 I had to cut my transmission tunnel cover. I was hoping to not have to do that on my 5. Just curios about options.

Yes. Both bumpers were straightened and re-chromed. The lower transmission cover has to be cut - yes. It depends what type of upper cover you have. If you have the type installed with the V6 Jeeps, a small hole in the upper cover has to be made as well. See pictures.

Inspirational build I had forgotten about it too.

Who did you find to do this for you - anyone in NorCal?

Nice ride! Still procuring a few parts for my '66 Tux. Got one bumper before I bought the jeep. Still looking for another as well as fender well pads! So fun with with the V-6!
