Andy do you have a picture of your modified seat frames by chance? I'm not sure how you would lower it without changing the seat angle.

Dave, I too modded my seat mounts.. On my 75 I cut the round part of the mount that bolts to the floor. Re-welded it and used a spacer on the passenger side under the door bolt to get it right. On the driver side I also cut and rewelded..

I am using some lowback seats out of a mid-70's dodge van, if you can find one. Of course I had to fab some brackets, but they've been in use for years now and work great. Wish I knew photobucket went all capitalist on us for third party posting or I'd try to share a pic.

Thanks for all the help and input fellas. Zila, I think I understand the forward part of the mounts. Just a little fuzzy on the rear of the drivers side where you have that flat stock in sort of a "C" shape. Looks like if I shortened that an inch I wouldn't have room to get the bolts in. Maybe I just need to study it a littler closer. The pictures helped a lot. And thanks for the heads up on the dodge seat Nwedgar!

I left it alone. The seat tilted into the proper position just fine I did have to shim one rear side with washers though. These are Best Top seats and were angled too far to the back before.
