5721 Replacement Motor?

    Bowbender I'm workin' on it!

    I knew there was "something" going on with my winch motor, so today I had time to take it to my local auto electric guy. He called me back with bad news; my motor is toast. Burnt armature and windings, beyond repair.

    So now I will be sniffing around for a replacement motor. Suggestions for a source are welcome.

    There was a link to some new motors on Ebay about a year ago. Otherwise finding a good used one and having it rebuilt was the only option for a long time.

    I purchased a replacement winch motor from Spider Marine. They are located north of Miami and may have been impacted by the hurricane.

    Just an update; I found a motor and new brake on ebay. If you include MHT6101 in your search you should find one.
