What Wheelie said the bottoms are gone on those lights, I would love to have a good set for my Tux. For now I have universal trailer lights that I had chromed with no license plate lights in them, the Tux has a license plate light on the drop down license mount.

The photos by haightfam in post #17 shows the correct CJ5 Hall 701 tail lights for the mid to late 1960's. These have the license window for the left side, and no window for the right, and have a black painted finish. The Tuxedo Park uses two windowless housings with heavy chrome plating. I have several of these where the steel shell has completely rusted away at the bottom 1/3 with just the chrome plating maintaining the housing's shape (no, the ones on ebay aren't mine!). The plain black housings can be chromed!
The reason the housings rust so badly is with or without the license window, the Halls use a clear plastic or glass cup inside the housing. This traps water/moisture inside where there was very little, if any paint when new.
There are some very similar repop Hall tail lights available today, if you can live without the "Hall 701" logo on top.
