Tuxedo Park - Bumper (rear cross member)

OK, was back to working on the 66 Tux last night. I had to replace the rear cross member because a PO had bent it on some rocks. This Jeep had no rear draw bar to help protect the cross member.

The guy who removed the old cross member did not save it for me like I asked. :poo:

The two brackets that hold the bumper on have two holes in them for attaching to the bumper (one large and one smaller). I am not certain which hole was used for mounting; therefore, I am unsure of exactly wear to drill the mounting holes in the new cross member for mounting the support brackets). My question, does anyone with a tux have the measured distance between the two sets of holes (i.e., from the driver side holes to the passenger side holes on the crossmember)?

Thx. I bought this from a guy near Las Vegas in Dec. 2012. I believe this color is called Prairie Gold...
Been working on it for a looooooong time but it's almost done.

Sorry Tim - did not really address the plate issue. I purchased the plates and registered them with CA DMV under our Year of Manufacture law. They just updated the law in January and now we are able to apply YOM to all cars 1980 and older. I just registered plates for my 1970 too - blue plates...
