I purchased a steering wheel and horn kit from Walcks. The steering wheel does not have a groove in the inside diameter for the horn rubber spring to go itn to hold the rubber button in place. Walcks said to use a dremel and put a groove in the inside diameter. To me it seems as though the rubber is to thick and the spring is to light for this to work well. Has anyone done this and how did it work, and/or does anyone have another method to secure the horn button into the steering wheel?
I know Walcks knows his stuff, but would like to hear others experience. Thanks!!

I went ahead and used a demel to put a grove in the wheel. I tested the fit and it seems it will work ok so i'm moving on with it. I did notice the splines aren't a tight fit, just a wee bit loose. i haven't pulled the nut down on them yet so we will see. THANKS

I did the dremel tool with a ring around the tool bit to limit depth. Worked fine. Spline is OK fit.
