Has anybody drilled, tapped and installed grease fitting in the bellcrank around the pivot balls? Just thinking of ways to keep wear down.

Isnt there allready a grease fitting on each end of the draglink? If not there should be one that greases the pivot balls

The clutch bellcrank I have on my desk has a grease fitting on each end to grease the pivot balls. I think it is an original.

The Lubrication Chart in FSM doesn't show lubrication of this part however.

Will try to get a pic, but having problems with my iPhone, so...

If you put the "lobe" that is 1"from the end of shaft at 12:00 o'clock (the cotter pins are at 1:00), the zert at that pivot ball is at 9:00 and 1/2 inch from the end, the zert at the other end is at 11:30 and 5/8 of an inch from the end.

I did this. Makes a noticeable difference in smoothness of operation each time I remember to pump grease in there.
Note that it does make a bit of a mess as grease comes out all of the openings in the assembly.

I have done it also, kinda a no brainer in my opinion. Factory should have done it too. Big problem is some people do not lube the existing fittings. Just think how much longer things would last.would last if taken care of......................... Grease is pretty cheap
