    jpflat2a what's that noise?

I was having a discussion with member Glenn about the rarity of this front axle shaft u-joint and whether anyone here has ever seen or discovered one in their D25 front axle ? It would most likely be a very very early Dana 25, GPW, MB ?
I have this joint sitting on my desk less the axle ends.
What he and I have found so far:

Jeep Willys MB GPW CJ2A NOS Right front inner tracta joint shaft

I want to say my dad's '46 2a has them, but it's been a long time since I've seen the inside of his axles. Would they go as late as early '46?

I'll ask him.... See if he remembers.

Edit: Nevermind. His have the balls. He remembers because they flew all over his garage floor a few weeks ago.

The wiper seal bolts originally had a tag if they were tracta joints. Not that tags always survive 75 years of service.

Looks beefy.. Probably way stronger than the parent axle..
