China scrap vs. 35yr old US replacement. No brainier, no leaks now. Bypass hose would never seal up.

I layer duct tape on the buzzer in the mack. some genius at the factory tied the power divider into the beeeeeep thing so when you need to pay attention cause its crappy and you need all eight pushing all you can hear is beeeeeeeeep five or six layers o duct tape and at least you don't get too jacked up.

Do you need the short hat rotors? Looks like you have Chevy brackets with Ford rotors.

They're F150 rotors. The caliper brackets are stock Wagoneer. They'd have to be a really short rotor, I'm about 1 1/4" too deep.

Hey Rich.... Good feeling, when they run , eh ?
Get the timing adjusted . I think that was the main reason she wouldn't stay at the first start up ? sounded like she was flooding ? Post another you tube when you get the high idle adjusted down. We could hear the valve tappets better, which may need adjusting too. (y)

First attempt with fuel. You can see I dialed the advance back. I was going for a 20 min cam run in at 2k, it wasn't charging. Either the alternator is shot, I'm lacking excitation or there's a wiring issue. I shut it down right after the footage stops. I'll futz with it in a few days when I have time. The Buick valvetrain is not adjustable. Once i get it sorted I'll fine tune it with timing light and vacuum gauge. I'll post a video after at idle. You'll find it very interesting....

Found a nice replacement side mirror that is very close to the original. It’s actually a GM original part, correct for the vintage. The Tuxedo Parks most likely shared the chrome 5” side mirror with other vehicles in the day. Just like the chrome rear license plate light was used on other vehicles (Dodge truck I recall) just not chromed.

Im most looking forward to getting the old girl out on the obstacle course, rocks, and dirt mounds (y) although it’s gonna be a hot one. I believe temps here for Saturday will be 97 with heat index of 110.

    Thanks! :)
I had the bracket and arm, so only needed the mirror. Wow! After searching everywhere, I went on a whim and looked at Summit Racing!
Crazy! They actually carry this GM vintage correct 5" mirror! Even has the chrome acorn nut!
    $16 USD ! I should have bought 2!:D

All my spring bushings were in bad shape, so I have spent the past couple of weeks pulling all four springs off, knocking out the old bushings, repainting the springs, and putting in Energy brand polyurethane replacement bushings.

old bushing showing way too much neglect:

rear shackles were shot (front were okay):

new bushings from Energy and rear shackles from Crown (I didn't use the crown bushings):

The jeep rides and handles significantly better and is noticeably quieter.
