A friend made the cover for me. I added the snaps.

At least the oil pan was well lubricated.

The root of all 0 oil pressure evil. :steamed:

Packing an oil pump with all the vaseline in the world won't fix that.

So much for hiring a professional mechanic to oversee the rebuild. :(

I'm sorry to say I used a four letter word.

    Twice.

It's amazing what 15 cents worth of pipe plug will do for you.

Not that familiar with f134, but guessing the oil pump relief valve was supposed to threaded into that port and stay closed under normal conditions?

Just a plug to close off where they drilled through for the pickup passage. The bypass is on the pump.

I recently got the used engine,a F-161 6 running in the station wagon,it was running great, good oil pressure, smooth and no smoke.Just when I was getting all full of myself it starts making noise, almost like a rod starting to be unhappy.....turned out to be the voltage regulator on the fire wall clunking rythmically, what a relief.....today I'm going to see whats going on with it....o_O

New system for hay cutting ... Stihl for Jeep.
By the way, we have now cold and wet weather, with storms and thunder possible everyday.
I unplug the Internet when black clouds arrive. It seems that Summer will come soon.
It looks more like winter :bananatool:

I installed an Alloy stamped steel differential cover, 5/16 thick on Farm Jeep Willy's rear Dana 60. Looks like stock, just super thick. Got tired of peeling the stock one. Had to trim a bit, as I had shaved the 60. The wife and I then drove to Ocean City Maryland, about 5 hours away, in Farm Jeep Willy for a honeymoon almost 6 years after getting married.
